Ingredients

  • turkey leg - 1020g
  • onions - 2 medium (188g)
  • carrots - 3 pcs (138g)
  • potato - 1021g
  • extra virgin olive oil - 2 tbsp (27g)
  • sea salt - 4 tsp (24g)
  • black pepper - 1 tsp, ground (2.3g)
  • oregano - 1 tsp, ground (1.8g)
  • dried rosemary - 1 tsp (1.2g)
  • dried tarragon - 1 tsp, ground (1.6g)

Cooking steps

1.) For the most flavorful meat, here's a friendly tip: You can spice up your turkey thigh by seasoning it at least 24 hours in advance. Or, if you're short on time, give it a little pre-cut love before adding those magical flavors. No matter which path you choose, you'll end up with a truly savory culinary experience!

2.) We mix the salt, pepper, oregano, and rosemary with two tablespoons of olive oil and generously coat the turkey meat.

3.) In a deep baking dish, we add the peeled and roughly chopped carrots along with three whole onions, placing the seasoned meat next to them. To prevent the bottom of the dish from burning, we also add a glass of water.

4.) We cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and place it in a preheated oven at 360 degrees Fahrenheit for one hour. This will help the flavors meld and the turkey to cook to perfection. Enjoy the delightful aroma in your kitchen!

5.) After one hour, we remove the baking dish from the oven and add the peeled, roughly chopped potatoes, seasoned with salt, pepper, and tarragon. This step will complement the dish with delicious roasted potatoes. Enjoy your cooking journey!

6.) We cover the baking dish with aluminum foil once again and return it to the oven for another hour. This extra time will ensure that all the flavors meld together, and your meal turns out wonderfully. Patience will be rewarded with a delicious and tender dish. Enjoy the anticipation!

7.) Another hour has passed, and now we can remove the aluminum foil. The unveiling of your culinary masterpiece is near. Enjoy the wonderful aromas filling your kitchen as the dish finishes cooking.

8.) We leave the turkey meat in the oven for an additional 30 minutes or until the meat is beautifully browned. This final step will add that perfect golden touch to your dish. Get ready to savor the delicious results!
